Thousands more made their way to live sites and venues around the city to watch the match.

“Light Rail services are not running between Central and Convention on the L1 Dulwich Hill Line due to a collision between two light rail vehicles at Central,” the Transport Management Centre said in a statement.

“Passengers are advised to allow extra travel time and make alternative travel arrangements.”

About 6.45pm, the TMC said the L1 Dulwich Hill Line services had resumed but encouraged passengers to allow more travel time.

For matches at Moore Park, there’ll be extra late-night L1 light rail services between Central Grand Concourse and Dulwich Hill, with extra L2 and L3 light rail services between Central Chalmer Street and Moore Park every night there’s a match at Sydney Football Stadium.
